2016 RAM 1500 Engine Overheating
If the temperature gauge rises abnormally or an over-temperature warning appears, reduce load and stop safely. Do not continue towing with an overheating engine.

Possible causes
Low coolant, leaks, a failing fan, thermostat, water pump or airflow obstruction can all contribute. The actual engine and symptoms determine what to test.
