COMMON PROBLEMS
2016 RAM 1500 Air Suspension Problems
Only RAM 1500 trucks equipped with the optional air suspension have its compressor, air springs and height-control components.
Confirm the engine, trim, drivetrain, market and installed equipment before using a part number, capacity or repair procedure.
Typical symptoms
A corner that sags, a compressor that cycles often or a suspension warning may reflect leaks, sensors, power supply or compressor faults.
Cold-weather diagnosis
Moisture and freezing conditions can complicate troubleshooting. Check for codes and obvious damage before replacing expensive components. Never work beneath a vehicle supported only by air suspension.
Use the correct model-year manual and current service information. Stop if instructions or safety precautions are unclear, and use a qualified technician for work you cannot verify.
