2016 RAM 1500 Engine Options & Specifications
The Canadian 2016 RAM 1500 lineup lists the 3.6L Pentastar V6, 5.7L HEMI V8 and 3.0L EcoDiesel V6. Match the VIN and emissions label before using an engine-specific guide.
Confirm the engine, trim, drivetrain, market and installed equipment before using a part number, capacity or repair procedure.
Gasoline options
The Pentastar and HEMI have different ignition, oil, cooling and servicing arrangements. The HEMI uses two spark plugs per cylinder.
EcoDiesel differences
Diesel fuel, oil specifications, emissions components and maintenance procedures are not interchangeable with the gasoline models.
Use the correct model-year manual and current service information. Stop if instructions or safety precautions are unclear, and use a qualified technician for work you cannot verify.
