2016 RAM 1500 Tire Sizes & Pressure
Use the tire and loading placard on the driver-door opening for your truck’s factory tire size and cold pressure. Big Horn, Outdoorsman and other trims may use different wheel-and-tire combinations.
Confirm the engine, trim, drivetrain, market and installed equipment before using a part number, capacity or repair procedure.
Do not copy another RAM owner’s pressure
Door-placard values reflect the vehicle configuration; sidewall maximum pressure is not the normal inflation target. Check cold tires and account for towing loads under the manual’s guidance.
Replacement fitment
Match load rating, wheel diameter and clearance. A nonfactory tire size can affect the speedometer, spare-tire use and stability systems.
Check the vehicle label first
The driver-side B-pillar tire-and-loading label is a more reliable starting point than a chart for another trim. It also helps identify the maximum combined occupant and cargo load for that individual truck. Verify tires when cold and recheck after substantial temperature changes.
Use the correct model-year manual and current service information. Stop if instructions or safety precautions are unclear, and use a qualified technician for work you cannot verify.
